Jincom provides complete professional translation services in more than 100 languages. We specialise in translating technical safety manuals, annual and sustainability reports, health and safety policy and procedure manuals, and HR communication documents.
Translation is the rendering of text from one language into another. It not only requires an expert level of proficiency in reading and writing in both languages, but the ability to capture the nuances, style, tone, and intent of the original message. Translators must be able to select equivalent terms or phrases to best preserve the meaning of the source document as well as to convey cultural undertones. Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between an authorised and normal translation?
An authorised translation may be needed in specific cases. Examples of such cases include annual reports, certificates, testimonials, extracts from registers and legal documents to be used in court.
When does a translation need to be sworn before a notary public?
There is no universal standard for the notarisation of translations. If you are sending a certificate or testimonial to a foreign government agency, a sworn translation may be required. Often an authorised translation is sufficient. However, we recommend that you check with the body that requires the translation and determine their requirements.
