Our e-learning offering was developed from the desire for our content to be delivered digitally. E-learning provides the platform for some of the most engaging, interactive and cost-effective ways to educate employees. In this constantly evolving digital era, organisations need to also evolve in order to grow and survive. We love e-learning for the following reasons:
1. Saves money. E-learning is an affordable, time-effective way to train/educate a wide-range of employees. E-learning requires access to a computer, tablet or mobile phone, digital modules and some time to complete their courses. Whereas, instructor-led training requires a training room, printed modules, travel, catering and materials – and often takes more time than e-learning would.
2. Consistent and standardised. E-learning ensures that each employee will receive the same information per module, as well as be assessed on the same modules. Instructor-led training leaves space for error or miscommunication.
3. Measurable. E-learning provides employees, managers and supervisors with timely feedback. With every module, there is an assessment to gauge how well the learner understood and absorbed the information. You will also be impressed to see how a workforce with e-learning improves both productivity and reduces incidents.
4. Scalable and digitally distributed. Once we have created each module, it can then be rolled out to every employee, as well as translated to any language. E-learning enables you to distribute the information globally, to every site and every employee – without the hassle of organising training rooms or printing countless documents. Instead of trying to find instructors and classroom space to dedicate to training, all that your employees need is access to a computer or mobile phone.
5. Convenient and flexible. E-learning provides training that can be accessed when it works best for each employee or manager, which satisfies your employee’s need for flexibility, thus improving overall morale. Due to the nature of digital material, the modules can be regularly updated.
6. Reduces a company’s environmental impact. There is no surprise here but Britain’s Open University’s study found that “producing and providing distance learning courses consumes an average of 90% less energy and produces 85% fewer CO2 emissions per student than conventional face-to-face courses.”
