Although most of our team is based in Cape Town, most of our clients are based in Europe.

Ideally, the junior colourist will be based in Cape Town and primarily working remotely, if desired.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a junior colourist to join our team. They will be colouring and shading various illustrations for creative products, including booklets, posters, and 2D motion graphic assets.

‍Duties include:

• Colouring and shading various illustrations for creative products, including booklets, posters, and 2D motion graphic assets.
• The role is very detail and deadline oriented.
• Constant communication with the Head of the Colour Studio, fellow Colourists, and Design Team to ensure the highest quality and consistency of work; as well as ensuring that deadlines are always met.  

‍Requirements:

• Skilled in Adobe Photoshop, with an illustration / art / digital painting background. 
• Detail Oriented
• Have an Eye for Consistency
• Have an Understanding of Colour Theory
• Have Good Communication Skills
• Able to work Independently and with a Team  
• An understanding of 2D animation is a plus, (but not required to qualify) as we often create 2D assets for our Animation Team to use as well.
• Not being afraid of getting close to highly technical content
• Understand the urgency of meeting agreed deadlines
• Good people skills
• Being able to work under pressure
• Ability to take initiative
